1. Where do I apply?

2. What stage and locations are companies eligible to apply?
The challenge is open to any incorporated companies from Latin America, which are developing healthcare solutions in any stage (prototype, pre-clinical, clinical, commercial).

3. Is it ok if some of the information I submit is confidential?
Do not submit confidential information. Only non-confidential information should be submitted.

4. What happens with IP?
As this is a no strings attached arrangement, the IP remains with the inventors.

5. When is the application deadline?
December 10th 2019.

6. When and where will the winners be announced?
TBD (OIWeek 2020, Sao Paulo, Brazil).

7. What is being awarded and to how many companies?
Opportunity to engage with J&J experts, potential for residency at a JLabs incubator, for one company.

8. What facilities will be available at JLabs? And for how many people?
Lab space and a workstation/office space for 2 people max. lt is required to sign a License Agreement for JLabs before being granted access to the bench and workstation. Johnson & Johnson lnnovation reserves the right to review and approve any finalist and may choose to refuse and/or revoke any such grant of access to JLabs, at any time, acting in its sole and absolute discretion. 9. Will J&J pay for R&D costs, living costs in the selected region and relocate family?
No.

10. Do you help with immigration issues?
Applicants need to do their own research or talk to their own legal counsel to ensure they abide by the rules in place governing acceptable activities for temporary business visitors in the country. We also do not sponsor applicants as the facilities provided are simply a platform for them to use while they conduct their own acceptable business practices.
